Advertising
The National Black Book Festival is
scheduled for June 8-10, 2012 and provides a variety of advertising
opportunities for authors, publishers, entrepreneurs and corporations
who may or may not be able to attend the actual event. The
following advertising opportunities are available.
• Book Announcement Program - Provide two (2) copies of one of
your books. During the Festival, your book title, author's name
and genre will be announced from the podium and given away as a gift to
a Festival attendee. NOTE: Books are provided by author free
of charge and will not be returned. Once payment is made, books
must reach our office by May 31, 2012. Cost:
$49.00
• Supporting Author Link on the Festival web site (for authors
who CANNOT attend), with link to the author's web site or other online
location.
Link remains from time of purchase until June 2012. Participating
authors automatically receive a link to their web site upon
registration. Cost: $49.00
• Book Feature in National Black Book Festival News, a monthly
e-newsletter which is distributed to over 1,000 African-American book
clubs and 25,000 consumers via e-mail. Deadlines are the 20th of
the month preceding the month of the edition. For example, the
deadline for the August edition is July 20th, the deadline for the
September edition is Aug. 20th, and so forth.
Cost: $49.00
• On-Site Video Presentation - Provide a 30-second to five-minute
video that will be featured at the 2012 NBBF. The videos will
be shown on a HD screen in the main registration area during the
Festival and will be shown on a repeated loop. Book trailers,
interviews, performances, promotional videos, etc. are permitted. If authors
or vendors need videos produced, these can be done by Cushcity.com at a reasonable
cost; however, orders for videos to be created for the Festival
must be submitted by March 31, 2012 to be included in the video feed.
For authors/vendors who already have their videos, the deadline for
submission is May 25, 2012. Video must be
tasteful and contain no nudity or excessive profanity. (NBBF
reserves the right to reject any video it deems inappropriate for the
Festival's audience.) Video
presentations will be played on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (June 8-10,
2012) at the Festival. Cost: $189.00 • Pre-Festival Promotional Video - NBBF will produce a
series of promotional videos leading up to 2012 NBBF. The videos
will feature authors who will be attending the Festival as participating
authors with tables, as seminar presenters, or with a book launch.
We will also produce promotional videos for authors who will not be
attending, but who support the event. The videos will include a
maximum of ten (10) authors each and the segment with the authors will
include an author photo, book image, and 20-second voice narration about
each book. The videos will be featured on the NBBF web site for
one-week intervals and cross promoted on Facebook, as space permits.
Each video is guaranteed at least one full week of promotion of the NBBF
web site. • Gift Bag Marketing Program (insert your flyer, brochure or postcard in the Festival gift bags which will be distributed to 3,000 Festival attendees). Marketing item is provided by the author, publisher or business. Once payment is made, insertion items must reach our office by May 31, 2012. Cost: $175.00 • Advertising in NBBF Newspaper (Full-page, half-page, quarter-page or business card size ads available in color and black-and-white). See sample of 2011 NBBF Newspaper here. Deadline is May 1, 2012. Costs vary.
