Special Event Tickets
The 2020 National Black Book Festival special events are open to the public. Advance ticket purchase is required. Deadline for ticket purchase is October 10, 2020. Attendance at the general admission portion of Festival is not required to attend any of these events.  All events will be held at Fallbrook Church, 12512 Walters Rd., Houston, TX 77014.

NOTE: Ticket purchases are nonrefundable, unless the event is cancelled.  If an event is cancelled, monies will be refunded; however, after 13 years no NBBF special event has ever been cancelled.

HOTELS: The host hotel is the Sheraton North Houston and rooms are $89.00/night. NBBF will provide complimentary shuttle service to and from the Sheraton daily. A list of hotels close to the venue are online here.

The Festival schedule includes the following ticketed events which require ticket purchase in advance:

Thursday, October 22, 2020 @ 7:00 p.m.
"Welcome to Houston" Reception
Cost:  $40.00 per person

This reception welcomes the out-of-town authors, book clubs and other Festival attendees to the City of Houston. An appetizing buffet will be served, along with beverages and dessert. Participating authors who attend will experience a red carpet moment. Door prizes will be awarded. Attire:  Business casual

Friday, October 23, 2020 @ 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
"Get Acquainted" Breakfast
Cost:  $30.00 per person

This breakfast affords authors and readers an early opportunity to meet new friends and exchange ideas, as well as provide tips on how authors can best promote their books at the Festival. A full breakfast buffet will be served. Attire:  Casual

Saturday, October 24, 2020 @ 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Networking Breakfast
Cost:  $30.00 per person

This breakfast is designed specifically to enhance networking opportunities on the last day of the Festival. Specific activities will be conducted to encourage and promote networking among the attendees. A full breakfast buffet will be served.  Attire:  Casual
