The 10th annual National Black Book Festival is
scheduled for Oct. 26-28, 2017 at Fallbrook Church (Gymnasium), 12512 Walters Rd.,
in Northwest Houston and is sponsored by Cushcity.com, one of the leading Web sites
promoting African-American literature.
The Festival will have FREE ADMISSION to the
public and this 10th annual event will feature

● Small business/educational institution booths
● Featured author discussions and signings
● Power Lunch on Friday ● Spoken Word Poetry Slam
● Free Workshops and Seminars
● An evening reception and two breakfasts
Book Club Meet and Greet, and much more!
The 2017 Festival will be marketed nationwide to over 1,100
Black book clubs, 25,000 book readers and 100 libraries. National and local media will be apprised of the event.
A full-color NBBF Newspaper will be distributed to schools throughout
the greater Houston area during the weeks leading up to the event.
The newspaper will include the full Festival schedule, as well as
information on featured authors, entertainment and workshop presenters.
A promotional video will be heavily promoted throughout the NBBF social
media network, which is in excess of 78,000 fans.
Authors may obtain a draped table during the Festival. Author
tables include two chairs, two badges (for an assistant, if needed) and
table signage. In addition, authors who register with tables will
receive one (1) ticket to both breakfasts on Friday and Saturday. Authors will be
grouped according to genre for easy reader navigation through the Festival

the 2017 Festival will be held on church property, the display of books
with profanity or nudity on the covers is strictly
prohibited. In addition, books in the erotica genre cannot be displayed.
Author tables can be reserved with a deposit, according to the
following schedule (all NBBF fees are non-refundable):

NBBF accepts a limited number of
non-book/small business and institutional vendors. The standard
registration rate for small business vendor tables is only
$400.00. The small business/institution vendor packet should be downloaded and

Once payment is made, the vendor's name and link are added to
the NBBF web site and remain there until October 31, 2017, which provides
the vendor with months of free exposure. Tables include two (2)
tickets to both breakfasts on Friday and Saturday. A 50% deposit of
$200.00 is required and must be paid no later than May 31, 2017. To make your $200.00

The remaining balance is due by July 31, 2017.
Publisher exhibits include a
12' x 6' covered table, 4 chairs, 4 vendor badges and table signage and 4 tickets to
both the Friday and Saturday breakfasts. The

The standard registration rate for corporate exhibits is only
and a 50% deposit must be paid no later than May 31, 2017.

10' x 10' exhibit space, which can accommodate a modular corporate
exhibit or NBBF can provide the draped table space in a premium location for the
Festival. Corporate exhibitors receive 6 chairs, 6 vendor badges and table signage,
as well as 6 tickets to all NBBF special events. The
