The 13th annual National Black Book Festival is
scheduled for Oct. 22-24, 2020 at Fallbrook Church (Brook Sports Facility), 12512 Walters Rd.,
in Northwest Houston and is sponsored by Cushcity.com, one of the leading
promoting African-American literature. As a
result of the coronavirus crisis, we have extended standard registration
for vendors to June 30, 2020. Also, for exhibitors making deposits we have
extended our final payment date to August 31, 2020.
General admission to the Festival
(including author exhibits, seminars, and featured author sessions) will
be FREE to the
public and this 13th annual event will feature

Book Club Meet and Greet ●
The 2020 Festival will be marketed nationwide to over 1,100
Black book clubs, 25,000 book readers, 100 libraries, and 1,000 chapters
of non-profit organizations (e.g., sororities, fraternities, etc). National and local media will be apprised of the event.
A full-color NBBF Newspaper will be distributed to schools and other
strategic locations throughout
the greater Houston area during the weeks leading up to the event.
The newspaper will include the full Festival schedule, as well as
information on featured authors, entertainment and workshop presenters.
The event will also be heavily promoted throughout the NBBF social
media network (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram), which has 85,000+ fans.
Authors may obtain a covered table during the Festival. Author
tables include two chairs, two badges (for an assistant, if needed) and
table signage. In addition, authors who register with tables will
receive one (1) ticket to both breakfasts on Friday and Saturday. Authors will be
grouped according to genre for easy reader navigation through the Festival

the 2020 Festival will be held on church property, the display of books
with profanity or nudity on the covers is strictly
prohibited. In addition, books in the erotica genre cannot be displayed.
Author tables may be reserved with a deposit, according to the
following schedule (all NBBF fees are non-refundable):

author's name and link will be added to the NBBF web site within 48

To have your photo placed on the NBBF website pay your one-time author photo fee

authors that have already made deposits, you should have already

NBBF accepts a limited number of
non-book/small business and institutional vendors. The standard registration rate for small business vendor tables is only
$400.00, with a 50% deposit due upon registration with the final
balance due by August 31, 2020. The small business/institution vendor packet should be downloaded and

Once deposit is made, the vendor's name and link are added to
the NBBF website and remain there until October 31, 2020, which provides
the vendor with months of free exposure. Tables include two (2)

The standard registration rate for publisher exhibits is only
and a deposit of 50% due upon registration.
The remaining balance is due by August 31, 2020.
Publisher exhibits include
12' x 6' draped tables, 4 chairs, 4 vendor badges and table signage and 4 tickets to
both the Friday and Saturday breakfasts. The

HOTELS: The host hotel is the
Sheraton North Houston and rooms are $89.00/night. NBBF will provide
complimentary shuttle service to and from the Sheraton daily. A list of
