The 12th annual National Black Book Festival is scheduled for Oct. 24-26, 2019 at Fallbrook Church (Brook Sports Facility), 12512 Walters Rd., in Northwest Houston and is sponsored by, one of the leading websites promoting African-American literature. 

General admission to the Festival (including author exhibits, seminars, and featured author sessions) will be FREE to the public and this 12th annual event will feature the following:

The 2019 Festival will be marketed nationwide to over 1,100 Black book clubs, 25,000 book readers, 100 libraries, and 1,000 chapters of non-profit organizations (e.g., sororities, fraternities, etc).  National and local media will be apprised of the event.  A full-color NBBF Newspaper will be distributed to schools and other strategic locations throughout the greater Houston area during the weeks leading up to the event.  The newspaper will include the full Festival schedule, as well as information on featured authors, entertainment and workshop presenters.  The event will also be heavily promoted throughout the NBBF social media network (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram), which has 85,000+ fans.

Authors may obtain a covered table during the Festival.  Author tables include two chairs, two badges (for an assistant, if needed) and table signage.  In addition, authors who register with tables will receive one (1) ticket to both breakfasts on Friday and Saturday.  Authors will be grouped according to genre for easy reader navigation through the Festival exhibit area.

NOTE:  Since the 2019 Festival will be held on church property, the display of books with profanity or nudity on the covers is strictly prohibited. In addition, books in the erotica genre cannot be displayed.

After November 30th, pay your one-time author photo fee of $89.00 by clicking "Add to Cart" here.  Your photo will be added to the NBBF web site within 48 hours of receipt of payment and photo. The photo is optional.

Small Business/Educational Institution Tables
NBBF accepts a limited number of non-book/small business and institutional vendors.  The early bird registration rate for small business vendor tables is only $300.00, with a 50% deposit due upon registration (by Feb. 28, 2019), with the final balance due by July 31, 2019. The small business/institution vendor packet should be downloaded and reviewed by all vendors who reserve tables, and is available here:

Once deposit is made, the vendor's name and link are added to the NBBF website and remain there until October 31, 2019, which provides the vendor with months of free exposure.  Tables include two (2) tickets to both breakfasts on Friday and Saturday.  To make your $150.00 deposit, click "add to cart" below:


Publisher Exhibits
The early bird registration rate for publisher exhibits is only $400.00 and a deposit of 50% must be paid no later than February 28, 2019.  The remaining balance is due by July 31, 2019.

Publisher exhibits include a 12' x 6' draped and skirted table, 4 chairs, 4 vendor badges and table signage and 4 tickets to both the Friday and Saturday breakfasts.  The publisher/vendor packet should be downloaded and reviewed by all publishers who reserve tables, and is available here:
