The 2019 National Black Book Festival, to be held Oct. 24-26 in Houston, provides a variety of advertising opportunities for authors, publishers, entrepreneurs and corporations that may or may not be able to attend the actual event. 

The following advertising opportunities with upcoming deadlines are shown below:

• Book Announcement Program - Provide two (2) copies of one of your books.  During one of the Festival special events, your book title, author's name and genre will be announced from the podium and given away as a gift to a Festival attendee.  NOTE:  Books are provided by author free of charge and will not be returned.  Once payment is made and confirmation sent to author, books must reach our office by Oct. 14, 2019. 
Cost:  $49.00

• Book Feature in ONE edition of National Black Book Festival News, a monthly e-newsletter which is distributed to over 1,000 African-American book clubs and 25,000 consumers via e-mail.  Space is still available in the Sept. 15th, Oct. 1st and Oct. 15th editions.
Note:  This is an ongoing advertising opportunity each month.

• Social Media Book Boost - Your book will receive four (4) social media posts on NBBF's Facebook page (85,000+ fans) over the course of four weeks (automatically tweets to 500+ NBBF Twitter followers and posts to 1,500 Instagram followers). The promotion will include a cover of your book and a link to your website and/or your Amazon book page. This program is available year-round

• Featured Video of the Week - Provide a 30-second to five-minute video that will be featured on the NBBF website's home page for ONE week.  Video must be uploaded to YouTube.  Book trailers, interviews, performances, etc. are permitted.  Video must be tasteful and contain no nudity or excessive profanity. This program is available year-round

• Supporting Author Link on the Festival website (for authors who CANNOT attend), with link to the author's website or other online location.  Link remains from time of purchase until Oct. 31, 2019.  Participating authors automatically receive a link to their web site upon registration.  This program is available year-round.

• On-Site Video Presentation - Provide a 30-second to five-minute video that will be featured at the 2019 NBBF.  The videos will be shown on a HD screen in the main registration area during the Festival and will be shown on a repeated loop.  Book trailers, interviews, performances, promotional videos, etc. are permitted.  If authors or vendors need videos produced, these can be done by Cushcity.com at a reasonable cost; however, orders for videos to be created for the Festival must be submitted by September 15, 2019 to be included in the video feed.  For authors/vendors who already have their videos, the deadline for submission is October 11, 2019.

Video must be tasteful and contain no nudity or excessive profanity.  (NBBF reserves the right to reject any video it deems inappropriate for the Festival's audience.) Video presentations will be shown on Friday and Saturday (Oct. 24-26, 2019) at the Festival. 
Cost:  $189.00

• Gift Bag Marketing Program (insert your flyer, brochure or postcard in the Festival gift bags which will be distributed to 1,000 Festival attendees).  Marketing item is provided by the author, publisher or business.  Once payment is made and confirmation sent to client, insertion items must reach our office by DEADLINE:  October 15, 2019.
